Topic: HIGH CALLING (VANTAGE POSITION) EPH 2:6, PHIL 2:9-10
When God calls an individual, it is always to give him or her an edge or an advantage that would be naturally impossible to get. The call of God positions a person at a vantage point, which gives a good, broad and far reaching view.
Psalm 103:7 says “He made known His ways to Moses and His acts unto the children of Israel”. The call of God in the life of Moses earned him regular summons to the highest part of Mount Sinai, where the perspective is better, the atmosphere is more conducive for the attention God needed with less distractions. According to Exodus 19:3 “and Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain”. This call distinguished Moses from the others and gave him privileges others did not get, including seeing God.
The call of God gives us a Birds eye view, no wonder the eagle is considered one of the greatest birds because of its ability to fly higher than others.
The popular song says “take me to the place that is higher than me, the place where eagles fly”. A place of the call is a vantage position with Jesus Christ (Eph 2:6) where we are seated in heavenly places with Him. It is a place where we have unlimited access to information and resources from God. In this position we have prior knowledge of events before they occur, so nothing can get us unaware. Anyone who accepts this call would always ascend to the top no matter the level of obscurity or pit he is placed into. Joseph rose from PIT, POTIPHARS HOUSE, PRISON and eventually the peak of the PALACE because of the call on his life.
We are also able to soar over and above all principalities and powers, might and dominion and every name that is named and unnamed (Eph 1:21, Phil 2:9-10). In God through His Spirit, deep mysteries of God are revealed to us (1Cor 2:10), we are able to stand on the shoulder of Christ to see farther than we normally would.
Brethren, as we continue in this race, we need to identify the High Calling of God upon our lives and ensure we fulfil our calling. Staying in our calling gives us a leverage to stand at vantage position that guaranties direct access to God and His resources to enable us succeed in our calling. Staying in our calling and fulling our calling will help us in propagation of God's work on earth the way we should. As we stay focused on our calling to the end, it would lead us to heaven which is the final and ultimate call of God for us. Shalom.
