BULLETIN (PASTOR'S CORNER) 6th March, 2016

THEME OF THE YEAR: UNCOMMON REWARD (GEN. 15:1)
THEME OF THE MONTH:
MARCHING ONTO VICTORY (EX. 14:13-15; HEB. 6:1)
TOPIC: STAY UNDER THE BANNER OF GOD'S LOVE

Romans 8:34-39 "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

The love of God is as strong as God Himself and is able to deliver just as it is able to save. It was love that brought our Redeemer from heaven to earth to shed His precious blood for mankind. Through the death of Jesus Christ, God has provided the best gift for mankind, the gift of eternal life with eternal home in heaven. Although He has promised us other benefits, this is the one that should be most cherished because it has to do with our souls here and hereafter. The Bible says in Ezekiel 18:4,20: "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son
shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him".

Because of His love for us, God sent His only begotten Son to die for us on the cross of Calvary. The gravity of this would be appreciated if we realise that without Christ, the wrath of God hangs over us as if it would crash over our head like the rubbles of a collapsing 25 Story building. John 3:36 says "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him". When we stand before God in prayer, let us stand with a heart of gratitude for our redemption and all its benefits. By this the gate of heaven will open to us. Then we can present the items on the list of our desires believing that He will answer because He has promised to so do. Now, in case He deletes anything from the list, it must be for our good. Let us remain steadfast and continue to remind ourselves that He loves us.

It was love that brought us to His banqueting table in the first place. Song of Solomon says in chapter 2:4 "He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love".(cp Psalm 23:5,6). This is the pathway of a victorious life if we do not take offence in Him but appreciate Him in all things. May the Holy Spirit keep His satisfying love before our eyes this month as we march forward from victory unto victory in Jesus name.
